ARTICLE REPRINTS
1. HVAC Benchmark Engineering written and presented by Al Ferreira at the 1994 IFMA Conference in St. Louis Missouri. The article described the benchmarking process for HVAC maintenance and energy usage. "Benchmarking engineering focuses on what is not operating to specification in an existing system and then calculates the affect of the mis-operation in excess energy usage, repair costs, and comfort complaints."
2. Upgrading Intelligent Buildings with Direct Digital Controls written and presented by Al Ferreira at the 1995 IFMA Conference in Atlanta, Georgia. Upgrading older energy management systems can be done very cost effectively to take advantage of the newest technology.
3. Effective Integration and IAQ with HVAC and Energy Management written and presented by Al Ferreira at the IFMA Workplace Conference in Miami Beach, Florida, September 19, 1995. “If someone in your facility gets sick and calls OSHA, some states (such as California) require the facility owner to produce their maintenance records within 48 hours.”
